Stopped recording incoming messages, doesn't ring with incoming calls, had it for 126 days and SEARS refused to return it, can't find factory return warranty information.
So far I took the phones to Sears and was told to exercise the 1 year factory warranty.
How do I do that without an addrerss?
I'll contact VISA and see what they recommend.
I have all of the purchase receipt information.

The light on the base flashes when another phone on this line rings, but this phone does not ring and cannot be used to answer the call. I had the exact problem and all I had to do to get mine working again was unplug it, wait 15 minutes, and plug it back in. It has been working fine since.

I think you may have accidentally pressed the do not disturb button.It is on the base of your phone and shows red when on Just press it again. I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions. I appreciate your vote if you appreciate my reply.
Press the mute/program button, then press the caller ID-volume button
to select handset setup. Next press caller ID-volume until you get to
Default settings. Use the caller ID-volume button to select 1yes. This
will return the phone to the factory settings and for took care of the
blinking blue light, however you will loose any custom setting or
numbers you entered.
During the message, enter your three digit security code. If you
haven't changed it, the factory default code is 123. That should
put you in charge of the answering machine functions through the keypad
of the phone you are calling in from.
You may need to write up a "cheat sheet" to remember what buttons do
what answering machine functions. I think the controls should
work the same as the labeled functions on the handsets that came with
the 28112EE2 phone system. That is, 1 replays the message, 2 is
the play/stop button, 3 skips ahead, etc.
I had the same problem. In my case my telephone co. told me to dial #55 then my code. Try reading your telephone co. instructions on how to retrieve messages. (not the instructions which came with your GE phone.
I had the same problem. You just need to call your phone service provider and they can deactivate this feature. This will allow all messages to go to your answering machine.
