No modem my dialup connection cannot locate my modem

s5350 has an inbuilt modem meaning you can use it as a modem on pc. all you need is samsung suite or just load the proper drivers for your samsung.. it will also load the modem part of it. then get the dialup settings and input them manually on connection setup. setting i mean are mostly the APN and dialup number.. username and password.

Make sure that you can see the phone's modem in the modem section of device manager(Preset in Control Panel). For airtel connection you have to enter the APN(Access Point name) as "airtelgprs.com" in the PC suite to connect to internet and the dialup number is *99#.
If your pc suite dont have a option for entering the APN then you can manually enter it here-->Go to Control Panel>>Device Manager>>Your phone's modem Properties>>Advance tab>>In Extra Initialization Commands enter this (+CGDCONT=,,"airtelgprs.com") without brackets and create a dialup connection with *99# as dialup number using ur phone's modem, Username n Password field should be blank.

1. Get GPRS activated on your phone number from your service provider. 2. Install the PC suite of LG on your PC. That means install the phones drivers. When you do this all drivers including that of phone ad modem will be installed. 3. Ask you service provider for the following info a) IP Address. b) Proxyport Number. c) Proxy Port settings. d) APN. And set then to your phone. 4. Connect the phone to the PC and allow Windows to detect the phone and load its drivers. 5. Go to Control Panel->Network Connections. 6. Setup the dialup connection for your phone modem. 7. Your service provider will also give you the number to dial from your dialup connection. Enter that in the dialup. 8. Connect. The connection will take around ten seconds. And you are on.

A modem that is on its own card in a computer is for dialup access to internet, via telephone lines. Other modems that do the same thing are built in to laptop computers, and always have a regular telephone-type plug on gthe computer. Dialup access is notoriously slow compared to Broadband (Cable/DSL) connections.

Sounds like you have high speed internet and also want a dialup connection as well. Maybe as a backup.
Anyway, your pc will need have a dialup modem installed in it.
If you already have one installed then you will also need a dialup ISP account. Some times an ISP will provide dialup in addition to broadband. Ask you ISP or call AOL.

Right click My Computer icon and then My Properties. Click on the Devices tab and check hhe list for Modems. See if your modem appears and if is correctly installed (an exclamation point beside iyour modem, means there is an instalation error).

If everything is OK, you still have to setup the dialup connection:enter the phone number to connect , the username and password, supplied by your ISP provider.

just load nokia pc suite and there is a option for net browsing
