I'm trying to hook this up to my TV and have the cables, but can't figure out where the white plug goes, yellow, or red... so I can't get it connected. Can you help? Thanks!
On your TV IN .. Yellow is Video, Red is 1 Audio. White is Audio 2 this is for Stereo if Mono white is not used.Your TV then needs to be set to Aux or Imput. If no button on TV use UP-Down Chanels. Good Luck.

On the side there is a video out socket ( sometimes marked AV out and yellow in color ). You will have to get an interconnecting cable to link it to your TV. The back of the TV will have corresponding yellow/red/white sockets. The yellow is for video and the red/white is for left/right audio. Your player comes with this cable along with the AC adapter .
Look for a special special connector that may or may not have come with your unit. It will be a Y connector with a plug in jack on one end and VGA (red, yellow, white) jacks on the other. Plug this end into an input on your tv.
Newer TVs have multiple inputs. Mr Mark is correct, you generally do not daisy-chain Audio/Video units unless you are using a recording device. Cable box to Cable input on TV. DVD player to other inputs.
Let's get some terminology out of the way. Specifically for the Mintek DVD-1600. There are NO inputs.
Coaxial Audio out (orange) is for digital audio only. Usually connects to stereo reciever for Dolby 5.1 surround sound. Not for TV.
S-Video (black w/4 small holes, 1 square) is for better quality video than composite. Use this to TV instead of Composite if you have a S-Video input on your TV.
Composite (Yellow) Older video input type. Works just fine. Connect to TV.
Audio Output ( Red & White) for analog stereo only. Goes to TV. Red=right, White=left channels.
Component Video Out (Blue, Green White) is the newest video output type in this unit. Better than S-Video. Use this option if available on your TV instead of S-Video or component.
In your accessories kit that came with your DVD, you should find a cable with a red ,yellow and white RCA ends. at the other end is a 1/8 inch Tip /ring/sleeve plug. Insert the plug into the output of the DVD. Insert the yellow wire to the same color coded INPUT of your television, insert the red and white wires to the Audio input on you TV. Your DVD should be sending the signal directly to your TV. hope this helps . if it does , vote.
Your problem is that your TV has no video inputs. TVs use those red white and yellow plugs to transmit the signal via those cables. By cable box - do you mean a digital box? You can't run it through that unforunately - those connections are only for the box itself and it only has an output.
You'll have to go either: Buy a new TV or get an RCA Modulator.
Hi
Check and see if you have A/V out jacks on the unit. If you do, they will be yellow, red, and white.
They are called RCA jacks, and if you have them, and the TV has the same type of jacks, then you just need the cable that goes in between. The DVD player normally comes with them, but if not, you can purchase them at any Circuit City, or even Walmart.
