Question about Mintek DTV-263 26 in. TV/DVD Combo

Dvd is stuck in player - won't play and won't eject

I've got a Mintek TV/DVD combo. I inserted a dvd (not forcefully - the tv accepted it normally) but it now won't play. When I select the dvd option the screen says "open" but the dvd won't eject. It's stuck in there. What can I do to get it out?

DVD stuck in tv combo player

There should be a very small hole or opening on or near the DVD drawer. Straighten a small paper clip to insert in the hole. It should trip the drawer open.

DVD won't eject or play

Use a bent paperclip and insert it into the small hole on the front of the player. This should cause the disk to eject. Reload the DVD and try again.

2 answers 1 usually you can remove a stuck disk by finding the tiny pin hole on the dvd insertion tray and pushing it in about 1/2 inch this will force open the player so you can remove the stuck bootleg dvd you put in it. step 2 is you can unplug the tv lay it face down and remove the stand and the back screws from the tv there about 20 screws once removed you can pll the back off the TV and find the dvd module and carefully disconnect the moduler plugs connected to the dvd

Power the DVD player down and press the eject button. Try to remove the DVD carefully, without forcing it.

Have a Toshiba hlv87 tv/dvd combo that will not eject a good dvd

I've had the same problem. I called Toshiba support and all they could say was to unplug it. Since I already had done that, they were going to send a service person over for a couple hundred bucks (which they get a cut of) to take it apart. Haa

Remote won`t operate tv stuck on channel 99 w/ no signal showing

Some units have a little hole where you can insert a straightened paper clip and manually retract the DVD.

Make sure the power is turned off first.

I use a produce bag tie. Stick it in the bottom of the dvd slot after pushing the eject button and the disc pops out for me.

Toshiba tv/dvd combo

is there a tiny little hole you can insert a paperclip into around the front of the cd.
if so use a large one if you have it , insert and press hard to eject.
if not then you will need help.
even if you get it out the eject motor belt is likely slipped or broken.
