Problem receiving and sending texts on HTC P3600 PDA
Hi there,
I'm having problems sending and receiving text messages on my HTC P3600 phone.
I write the message, but after hitting the send button, the text stays in the Outbox and doesn't get sent.
I am also not receiving any texts.
Can any HTC guru help me?

This sounds like you're out of credit on your phone. When I send texts, I'm charged a fee. But it's free to receive them. Maybe this is why?
To avoid this problem, you can send and receive texts through your email account. That way you always get your texts, whether or not you're out of credit on your phone. Try Bulletin Messenger: https://www.bulletin.net/product-messenger.html
Hi,
Welcome to Fixya. The reason why you can't use the internet or receive a picture message is because you need to save the GPRS and MMS settings of T-mobile on your phone. For the settings you need to contact the so that they can provide you the right settings like the APN the HTTP link and other settings. after you have save the settings you will be able to use the internet on your phone and will be able to send and receive MMS.
Thanks
Hi there. It sounds like there is something wrong at the carrier end, not wrong with your phone. Call your providers support line and ask for technical assistance to make sure that the network has no problems in your area. They should have a solution, or at least an explanation for you. Alex
Hi, issues like this are related to your Sim card (network), not your Cell Phone . In most cases, regarding the text messages, the problem is from the Service Operator. Have you tried the Sim card on another phone? If not, remove the Sim card, insert it on another phone and try sending a message from another mobile to you number, or you can do it in vise- versa by inserting another Sim card on your mobile.
If you can't receive text messages even when it's inserted on another handset, then you will need to call the customer care of your Network Operator and tell them your problem, they will help you fix it immediately.
You can check the message center number, but I don't think it's very much important in your case, well, if you wanna try, just check the text message settings and verify that the message center number (which is currently in use) is the same number which is on another phone with the same network (the other Sim should be of the same network in your area). If it's different, make the changes and save the settings. Also disable the "Receive Via" or similar settings.. (I can't recollect the exact settings as i don't have the same model with me, please excuse me for this.).
If the same Sim card doesn't receive text messages using another handset, don't bother to change the settings or to make any changes with it, first call the customer care and verify from them, you may make mistakes instead of fixing it.
It just means there is an interruption. Wait for your phone to think, and you'll see another text come through or even a phone call. then retry sending.
I had the same problem and came to this site for help but the solutions didn't solve the problem of "cannot send text message" on htc touch hd. All service numbers correct. Went to START/SETTINGS/CONNECTIONS/ADVANCED NETWORK/SMS SERVICE then changed from "gprs" to "gprs preferred". Double checked and had reverted to "GSM" but sms now works - finally!!! Hope this helps.
firstly contact your operator and request for sending you the mms activation settings once you receive them as a message save them on the phone now you are ready to send and receive MMS messages
now to the part of sending an MMS
go to messages click on the
menu then New then MMS
now key in the addresse in the TO part and in the msg body
go to select insert Picture/ Video to insert a picture or video from your gallery
similarly if you want to add text select the text
also the same for audio
you can select all or any of the picture/ text/ audio and send as an MMS
hope this helped
cheers
PS: if this has been of any help pls rate the solution
I had this problem once with another cell and I found out that some of the text messages from other phones, like the LG and PDA phones send with kilobytes that are needed to be "downloaded" through a multi-media package or internet access. If you are able to send texts and they receive them, check with your carrier. Also, try shutting the phone off and restarting.
