Aser Aspire 5920 Will Not Switch On

HI! I have an Acer Aspire 5920 Laptop which I have had for just over a year. I was using it as normal when (with no sound or smells) it turned off and now will not turn back on. The adaptor light flashes on and off as soon as it is plugged in to the laptop. My daughter has exactly the same model, hers is fine. We have used her battery and adaptor in my laptop and still nothing. (Also, my battery and adaptor work fine in her laptop). Any ideas or does this mean a new laptop?

It must b some problem with the RAM......get the ram changed ...den it will work fine

Turning on wlan on my acer aspire 5920
Look on the side or in front of the laptop for the Wireless Switch. Also once the switch is turned on you can usually toggle the wireless by keystrokes. Normally you would Press and Hold the FN function key located on the left near the bottom on the keyboard then hit the correct F1 thru F12 key that toggles the wireless. The correct F1 thru F12 key to hit will have the icon of a wireless signal )))) or it might have the icon of a tower with the wireless signal )))).

Warranty for acer aspire 5920
You need to call Acer regarding this legal things and issues.

However, this is what's actually happening.

When your dealer bought Acer laptops (or any other laptop) Acer gave them (your dealer) 3 years warranty coverage. But your dealer will sell them and cover 1 year of warranty since the laptops they bought are just stored in their locations which are already consuming the warranty period that Acer gave them.

hi friend,

operating system of your laptop has crashed. you have to reinstall operating system. entire data which was stored on desktop, My documents will be lost.

Turn on your laptop and open DVD rom. Insert bootable CD which you might got with laptop. then it will start itself. and follow the instructions given on the screen.

Laptop will not switch off untill press switch button of laptop
you have a corrupted software try to format and reinstall it again, most corrupted system comes from improper shut down sometimes during installation your CD or DVD rom is defective although it is reading and seams working fine try to install your system using other rom drive

Screen jumping on acer aspire 5920
Hi,

First boot in safe mode and the display resolution will be minimal if the screen appears ok with big fonts then try and adjust the normal resolution but not high resolution like 640x480 with 256 colors, if it works then you acer laptop screeen is fine but the exactly display drivers to be reloaded else there is a problem with your laptop screen which needs to be replaced
