Hp pavilion key board keys dont work

Characters on key board switch from letter/ numbers i guess you meant HOW TO SWITCH (key word HOW?)_
Pavilion (secret PC model) ouch....
your first ever PC?, no model told, PAV means zero..
The numb lock key is it ,same for 40 years but but but.....
but on some lame tiny small laptop/pads
the keyboard is shrunk below the standard size and is not 104+ keys
to do that magic (buy real 104 usb keyboard and live better/)?
they used a wild and woolly, Fn roller over keys.
the keyPAD is missing but is moved to center(ish) of keyboard.
to do that all this is 100% custom to HP ! HW/SW ALL.
to make that work takes just 2 things

• RTM , read the manual on just this secret PC, and bingo there you learn this. (SHRUNKEN PC'S)
• or the drivers for this unique keyboard or missing so get them at HP.com (using real model or service tag first) and matched to you unstated OS. w7? w8, what?

IF ASKING WHAT A REAL NUMLOCK KEY DOES?
GOOGLE IT, 40 YEARS OF ANSWERS- UNCHANGING.
THE PAD SET TO NUM'S IS FOR 10 KEY ACCOUNTANTS.
SEE? fun to watch them is, fast they are,..

Im guessing you bought a newer model pc. The thing is most dont come with a product key. But if it did would be somewhere in paperwork that came with box. If you dont have that anymore you might be S.O.L

cos the microsoft office home and student 2007 is a trail so u need to buy it. ;)
if u buy the cpu wit office licence try find the product key at ur cpu if not refer to the shop u bought

I would like to know whether it is HP branded part no. that you have changed. Because if it is HP keyboard then you can replace it with HP.

If not then I need the product no. of your notebook so I can find the correct part no. for keyboard for your notebook.

You can also purchase single keys from below website if only those 3 keys are not working instead of buying a complete keyboard.

You need to check in the BIOS if the keys when typed does make beeping noise. Set BIOS defaults.
If the keys are still not working than boot the sys to the recovery manager and press ctrl+d to open the CMD box and test the key board there.
Boot the sys 3 times to BIOS and set BIOS defaults,
If it doesnt work try the latest update and drivers for the sys. If it doesnt work that means the keyboard needs to be repaired

You need to buy the license key online from microsoft because the only have one user license for individual, so the key I have can not work for you. The key is not that expensive, just go to www.microsoft .com for the purchase of your own user license key. Thanks

Seems like it actually may be a problem with the keyboard. Could be that those particular buttons are faulty. I would try a new keyboard. They seem to be cheap enough these days!!Hope this helps!
