Loud noise comes from moving parts such condensor fan motor, evaparator fan motor. be sure they are nt hitting shroud. other is compressor-may be going bad. heat in middle is coming from mullion heater,as long as it doesnt melt gasket or short out, trip breaker should be ok.

The beam in middle of refridgerator where both doors rest against while closed is too hot to touch

Is the cooling fan for the compressor working? There is a coil of the condenser line that runs around the freezer side. This will get hot but the cold freezer side keeps it form not getting too hot. It could get very warm if the freezer is not cold yet.

The middle part of the fridge frame where the side by side doors close onto is very hot to the touch. The fridge and the freezer portion themselves are working properly, but I just leaned on the frame in...

I had the same problem. I had just brush cleaned my coils and then it began. When I took the back off the fridge, I saw the fan was not spinning. I unplugged the fridge and then tried to spin the fan blades. I had inadvertantly bent a blade so it would not spin. I bent the blade back into shape and turned it on. The fan worked and very quickly the middle was no longer hot.

My samsung rs2630sh is very very hot to the touch

The fan you should replace is called the condenser fan. It's the one that blows air across the outside coils. When it fails, you'll usually notice abnormal heating of the front of the divider between freezer and fridge.

Our fridge model has the freezer on the bottom. When the fridge door is open, the front of the fridge above the freezer compartment is hot to the touch - also had a one time incident where the...

It is normal for the strip between the freezer and fresh food compartments to be warm to the touch. It's called the mullion strip and uses gas from the compressor discharge line to prevent moisture from forming there. Older models used an electric heater to do the same thing.

As far as the one time operational failure......it's a bit difficult to even guess not knowing the brand and model. Talk to us if it fails again.

Panel between fridge and freezer very hot and no sound at all

Hi: Its just a coincidence you noticed it then. It is usually hot. It's the reverse side of the refrigerant (the hot side.) If you lived in a humid area the fridge would sweat. Water would run down between the doors. I live in a dry climate so no worries. Older fridges used an electric heating element to keep them dry. They also had an energy saver switch to turn it off. As Whirlpool uses the hot side of the refrigerant they don't use additional power to run the heater. Actually the heater is called a mullion heater. Nothing is wrong with your fridge. I'll look over my shoulder for angry retailers. Hope this helps, Jeff.

Overheating, seals on Roper side by side are hot to the touch

Hi, When that strip gets hot, it is a sign the temperatures are not cold enough. Put a thermomitor in the freezer. You should get a reading of 0 to 5 above. If not, let me know and we can try and get you through this.

Thanks

Panel between fridge and freezer very hot and no sound at all

Dont know about the noise prob. but I can help with the over heating cabinet. Your condensing coil is dirty and needs cleaned. it is located under your refrigerator or behind the back panel. You should use a brush and vac. it out. Air must travel through the tubing freely in order to cool properly. It should be easy to find following the tubes coming out of your compressor.
