Reset password? i bought a car with this unit in it the guy never toold me it had a password. when i changed the battery and turned on my unit it says i need a pasword!!! any help?

Take off the battery, turn off the unit; now turn it on, press # and * together until it enter in the programming mode. Now you change the master password.
disconnect power to unit with power on. Remove battery if applicable.. Press and hold "on" button for at least 30 seconds. Reinsert battery and then turn on.
Bios password can only be reset by removing the c-mos battery....A c-mos battery is a small battery in motherboard, remove it and then replace it again..dat will reset ur bios password..
it sounds like its trying to access a plus service that would require logging in. You need to perform a hard reset of the device view the following image http://www.tomtom.com/lib/doc/one/refman/photos/oneBack.jpg press and hold the reset button labeled "I" in the diagram for 15 seconds until the unit restarts.
