Nikon Collpix 5700 Does not turn on.

Your battery may not be inserted correctly? Make sure that the little gold plates (encased by black ridges) at the end of the battery our facing down when you place the battery in, that way they will make the proper connection. This connection might be blocked by dust or some other material,you can try blowing it out. Also the small door must be properly closed securing the connection between camera battery and camera. Hope that this helps, otherwise your problem might be the camera itself, or perhaps you have the wrong kind of battery. I am no expert, God bless...
