I have a ls2208 barcode scanner and require it to tab on the first field after number scan entry then enter on the second after number scan entry

give me the name of the program you curently use so i can try to see how i can convince it to move to the product code when you first scan.

The LS2208 is a universal scanner with many supported interfaces. Please check the ATS if one of the interfaces are available. See the list below:

It is the link to the PDF support for the scanner. It has barcodes you can scan to program the scanner to press enter or tab when it is done!

Hi, to make the scanner automatically hit enter print and scan the barcodes Scan Options, Data Suffix, and Enter from Adobe pages 222 and 223 of 342 of the LS2208 Product Reference Guide.

If you would like the LS2208 to transmit only the first twelve digits of an EAN-13 barcode followed by an enter you will have to write an Advanced Data Formatting rule using barcodes from the LS2208 Product Reference Guide found here: http://support.symbol.com/support/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=5880806apdf&sliceId=&dialogID=114420371&stateId=1%200%20114410810

The barcodes you will print and scan in the order they are listed are:
Begin New Rule
EAN-13 (from the Critera pages of the ADF section)
Send Next 12 Characters
Send Enter key
Save Rule

If all other barcodes require an enter key make sure you scan Scan Options, Data Suffix, Enter (from the same manual or from the Quick Start Guide) before scanning the ADF rule above.

TK, scanners are just plug and play including LS2208.. it only replaces data keyboard entry..

At the Symbol web site they have some instuctions for programming a 'Tab' at each scan.
