I have a sony kp57Wv600. I have the signal coming through a samsung HD reciever utilizing the HDMI input. Becoming more often it will flash green quickly and sometimes shut off. This does not happen when I use any of the other inputs. The inside of the TV is extremely dusty and may have a lot of pet hair in it. Can this contibte to the problem? The little lights on the front did flash 7 times, but after letting the set sit it works fine. It will happen again though right in the middle of a Packer game I'm sure. Can I clean out the TV with a vac or air compressor?

Re: Sony Projection flashes Green once in a while
You have a bad picture tube, no way to sugar coat this one, Sony had issues with all 3 tubes in your model set, more bad news, that green tube is "no longer available" from Sony, tried to order one about 2 months ago for a customer of mine, only the red tube is still available. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Is ur tv a CRT tube type of a analouge tv u are asking?Yes than the tv don't have HDMI inputs hubs for HDMI cables connections.Only some projection tvs,all plasma,LCD and LED tvs have HDMI inputs hubs only and able give ur tv incomming signals HD 1080i for a broadcasting and HD pictures or throught a HD boxes or games devices like Xbox or Playstation 3 devices to get HD output picture for like 1080p.
the audio comes out of the Direct TV reciever, OR Audio OUT on the television. Some TVs that take the signal HDMI, do not put sound back out, and in that case, sound signal must come from the reciever box.
Each component, like DVD of Blu Ray will need to have a signal wired to the stereo unit.
At the bottom of the page there are comments from users. There are several users that explain how to take off the front panel and where things are located. The model KP57WV600 is different than the pictures in the blog, including the fact that the order of the red, green, and blue adjusters are different.
If you try it and it's not successful and you still want to try to replace the CRT yourself, google KP57WV600 service manual and you can buy it for $9.99 and download it right away.

This tv will only output the sound from a digital tv channel through the optical output when using the tv's digital tuner. So if you are connecting a DVD etc it will not output through the optical output on the tv. ONLY digital chanels through the tv's tuner will give you sound. Refer to the tv's owners manual for more info.
MY Sony (same model) has OUTstanding picture resolution and quality., I never have blockiness on any of the sports channels. I would say, give Comcast a call and complain about their signal.. they have a tech come over for free diagnostics on your wiring..
