Fipped over coleman powermate 2500 ultra generator flippied over while still running sat it back up and after smoking real bad. Stopped smoking and shut off. Starts up but cut off just as quick, changed spark plug,changed oil, and got oil off the piston. Put it back together, still starts up and cuts right off

This is a search and find type of problem. Check all wiring, especially if the generator has a low oil cut off switch. Check the wiring to that. Also, check carburetor linkage and for any springs that may have come off. Check the linkage to the governor on the engine to make sure the linkage is not binding.

Run it for a while to warm it up. Put a drain pan under the drain plug and remove the plug. give it 10 minutes to drain and replace plug. Fill with fresh oil.

I have a coleman powermate premium plus 6250 generator,put in new plug ,new filter ,changed oil,cleaned the carb,put in new gas. runs ok at half choke but when go full choke it starts backfiring and runs...
if you are running the engine at full CHOKE, then it is flooding the engine, but if you meant off full choke, then the carb is still stopped up. Try soaking in carb cleaner overnight after removing jet & all rubber goods. HOPE THIS HELPS.

My powermate pm0647000 stopped generating electricity.
Flash it !
Start your generator, plug a single speed drill into the recepticle, while the generator is running make sure the drill is in the forward posistion then turn the drill chuck couterclockwise with your hand untill your generator power's up.
This simple fix " excites " the stator.
