I unplugged the TV and held the buttons down and it continued to flash. I continued to hold down the two buttons and replugged it in again and it worked. TV back up and working.

Unplugged it. After looking for a new tv online I decided to try getting it to work. So, plugged it back in and held down the power button, a red light came on, held down the power button again and an orange light came on, held down power button again and green light came on and tv powered on. This was simply a case of trial and success!

TV won't turn on

It sounds that, the memory IC to your TV has damaged. This IC can be located very near to main system control IC. A very small one, with 8 solder terminals. Even though it is very small, function of it while the TV works is great. The work is a semi-skilled one, and you must have some knowledge in electronics to proceed.

How do you put on a power supply board back on correctly

you need to look at the connectors that are from the other boards that you removed when you took the old board out. then just place your new board in and screw in the screws and plug in the connectors

Tv went off and won' come back on.

Most likely you will have to replace the power supply. It is a very common problem especially in newer electronics. You can test it with voltmeter or multi-tester. They tend to get worn capacitor inside the power supply due to cheaper parts

Power supply

Its possible that it is the power supply. If you wanted me to take a loot at it I could but you would need to remove the power supply from the TV and ship it to me. The power supply has been a common fail point of TV's, VCR's and other home electronics in the past several years. Let me know if this is something you would like to discuss further. I just need contact info.

Akai LCT2701AD - 27' LCD TV/DVD Player Combo

I don't know if I solved the problem. I find though if I turn the TV off and unplug it and then plug back in when I want to watch it - it works. I don't know why but it does. My remote still does not connect to the LCD but I have cable HDTV so chanel changes work from that control.

I am pretty ********** that it is only a year old and this has happened but what can you do? We live in a disposable world.

I was trying to get to your Premium assistance Plan from where I wrote my issue but I don't know where to pay or what to do on your site it keeps taking me all over.
