I see this all the time. The red or blue bag holder has either started to bow or it's legs aren't seated on the top of the little depressions. Check that and when you fit new bag remove the hose and check the little door on the bag is open and not closed if it's closed all the rubbish will fill the bag container rather than the bag. If this if the case buy new bag holder common problem.

I have a Miele White Star. The Turbo Plus attachment has stopped working. Brush will not turn. I've had it all apart and cleaned it. Still a no go. Is there an electrical connection somewhere. Fixable or should I just replace it? Thanks Mary

Will it power up without the hose attached? If it does then you have a clogged hose. If not, there is a circuit board by the motor that may be bad.

SOURCE: Miele Cat & Dog vacuum gets VERY hot and is

Hi

The fact that it gets very hot could be due to a number of issues.,but the fact that it started making a very loud noise at the same time suggests that there might be more problems maybe brushes etc.

If you could describe the sound it makes like a squeeling or electrical buzzing I know this might be difficult ,but it would help in the diagnosis.

I will try to get more information on the unit ,meanwhile here is the user manual pdf if you don't have it: http://www.miele.co.uk/Resources/OperatingInstructions/S%205001%20series%20S%205211_5781.pdf

My vacuum engineer friend loves Dysons ~ he says that they keep him in business!!
The only machine that I have found any use on animal hairs is the Miele Cat'n'Dog model.
The turbo brush is excellent.
Dogs shed most of the time so that means to keep onto of the hairs you need to vacuum most of the time (once a day!).
Miele Cat and Dog Complete C3 Canister Vacuum

Pricey but mine is brilliant.
Dyson's are cheaper and now you know why!

My wind tunnel had a lot of dog hair at the intake hole from my renter that used it. I was able to remove it, but is it possible there is hair up inside beyond the hole & how would I remove it? it is...

I have an upright Dyson Cyclonic.  Because I have dogs, I also have a Miele Pull-along.  I use the cyclonic for fine dust after picking up the hairs with the Miele.

Much quicker in the long run.

Otherwise I would waste a lot of time cleaning out the Dysan Cyclonic airways.  I usually use long nose pliers to get the ball out and then I use my Miele to **** the rest out of the Dysans airways!!!
