How do i clean my LG tv screen - LG Televison & Video

The LCD and the build in light could be not working anymore and the screen is starting to die. There might be power supply issues or devices that are connected issues or the batteries are low in your remote control or there could be hardware problems with the TV.

can you please explain your problem clearly?

From the manual, here's what it says about cleaning:

And in order for the TV to recognize your wifi, you'll need to plug in a wireless network adaptor to one of the USB ports. (network adaptor sold separately.) Follow these instructions to establish a wifi connection, and then follow the on-screen instructions for wifi/network settings. Or for details on how to adjust your wifi/network settings, see pages 58 and 59 of the manual.


That's kind of hard to read, but it says.
"The LG Wireless LAN for Broadband/DLNA Adaptor, which is sold separately, allows the TV to connect to a woreless lan network.
The network configuration and connection method may vary depending on the equipment in use and the network environment. Refer to the setup instructions supplied with yur access point or wireless router for detailed connection steps and network settings.
1. How to connect
Connect the "LG Wireless LAN for Broadband/DLNA Adaptor (sold separately) to the USB IN 1 or 2 port on the TV.
2. How to use
Select "Network Setting" in the NETWORK menu
After connecting, you can use the NETCAST menu"

Soft dry cloth wipe frequently on LCD screen is the only way. Slightly damp cloth maybe use at your own risk of leaking water into the lcd screen and damge the tin oxide(turn black).

Use a fine rag and water ONLY. Windex will ruin it.

Bulb has failed, replace and clean all cooling fans of dust.

Just use a slightly damp cloth & wipe over the screen gently. You can also use a glass cleaning fluid which can be bought in most high street shops. Test this first on a small area of the screen to ensure it does not leave any residue.

I just bought a 42" lg hdtv very nice but had a big spoto in the middle of the screen. I used windex wipes to clean the screen and it is good as new again!! Hope this helps!!

I had the same exact problem.
I removed the bulb and cleaned it. There is a small screen at the top of the bulb and it was covered with dust. Once it was cleaned I replaced the bulb and it solved the problem.
