SOURCE: cant switch it on!

Sounds very much like a main power supply that needs a 'kick' to start up. This is often caused by the loss of value of a capacitor in the power supply, one that handles feedback to start the supply initially and carries the signal to shut it down in case of a circuit fault in one of the areas the supply services. Inadequate feedback will make the supply unable to start properly and more likely to shut down even though no fault condition exists. If I'm right, it will get worse and searching for the problem requires an instrument not found in the average home; a capacitance meter with loss measuring capabilities.

SOURCE: the battery wont fully charge and its brand new

You have to use the charger that came with the device. If you use any other charger it will burn the device out. I tried charging mine with a 12 volt adapter in the car and this burned the device out. Not knowing I damaged it I used the 110 volt charger and found it would not charge any more. The charging current is regulated in the charger not the device. So beware.

I have a Samsung curved tv UN55KS8500FXZA which displays a blue screen once powered on .Have replaced the main board and the issue still persists could this be the power board ?

In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.
Before going further; try a hard reset first. If it does not help you, replace the main digital board. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; visit the site linked here.

Samsung tv/monitor turns on when it wants to.Once it is on it works perfectly fine. The standby light is on. It is an issue with getting it on initially. It is plugged directly into the wall outlet.

The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

My TV Goes Off and On

Its not your tv that is the problem unless it is shutting off altogether. If your tv is turning off then check out the ballast assembly. If it's just the signal going in and out from your directv, then sorry but that's your box that is the issue not the service itself. Check out what model of box you have and they are known for blowing capacitors. If you are in contract still then complain to directv. If not then I suggest finding a used one or open up your box and see if your capacitors are blown. If you don't know what those are here is a good basic video:

Why won't my TV sound go through the Hts 3450?

Wide open one here. Is your tv coming in direct from the wall or do you have a cable/digital box that you need to get the signal from? If you have a box then make sure you are plugged into the audio out on the box and on the HTS you are on the audio in. There will be a left and right. If you have the sound to your tv then you can plug into the audio out on your tv and again plug into your audio in on your box. If your tv has an option for external speakers then you need to make that adjustment on the audio menu on your tv. Also make sure that the proper channel is selected on your HTS and that your audio output matches your selection. Hope this helps but I will keep an eye out for further posts.

Turn off tv power

First your tv will always go into "Standby" when it receives a "Power off" signal. Made that way. Second, It is never a good thing to have your tv power plugged into a "Switched" outlet on a Cable ot Sat box or some other Component. The tv should be always be plugged into the wall outlet or through a very good surge protector.
