Do you mean the gray CRT Durabrand from 2004? I had one of those exact ones myself recently with the remote and everything.

You need a remote control to go back to the regular channels if you're in Game or Video mode (like watching your DVD player); those inputs are entirely separate from the channels to the point that you can't use the channel left/right buttons to get out of there. In fact, before I got my remote, I couldn't even get INTO Game / Video mode; I had to use an RF modulator on channel 3. For the Durabrand 13", the remote unlocks much more out of the TV.

SOURCE: Can't watch dvds with my dvd player

Try two different things 1) on some of these tv's you could try pressing 00 to see if it will put you in input mode or 2) with your remote you should be able to push the input or tv/video to go to the input selection . In both of the above make sure you push the tv button first then step 1 or 2 . Good luck

SOURCE: Cable box, digital service, channels not appearing

connect the RF lead from the wall to your cable box then out from that to your dvd then out from your dvd to your tv. now connect a scart lead from the cable box to AV 2 on the DVD then connect AV 1 on the DVD to your TV if you have a second scart on your tv connect that to the cable box. NOW on the DVD select AV2 now whatever is on the cable box will be recorded onto DVD/VCR. Put the DVD recorder into VCR mode and set it to auto tune all the Digital Video Broadcasts. You cannot physically tune the cable boxes own channels into the DVD via RF it has to be via a scart.

How do i hook up a dvd player to my tv if i have cox cable? I dont know what channel to put my tv on. I know there has to be a way to watch a dvd without unhiiking the cable

Most DVD players have a coax input and output on them. But some newer ones don't. Assuming your does then you can run your DVD player to your TV with a coax cable you bet. Either on the back of the DVD player there will be a little switch or in the menu settings it will give you an option for channel 3 or channel 4. The same channel you select on the DVD player will be the same channel you will want to put your TV on. For the coax install run it from the output on your DVD player to the coax input on your TV. If you use a coax for cable too then just run you coax from the output on your cable box to the input on your DVD player.

What channel do you watch a vcr/dvd on.

It depends on the way you have the combo set up, your instruction manual shows you different ways of doing this, but to answer the question it would be channel 3 or 4 if you are using the RF out ot OUT to TV connector in the back of your combo. You can also view tape and disc playback if you set the TV for VID1 or VID2 if you are using the rca dubbing cables(yellow-red-white).I hope this helps!

Hooking up my DVD/VHS player to TV & Convertor box

I would just hook up the dvd/vhs player with the red, white, yellow rca cables that should of come with your unit and just go to the input on the tv to watch your dvd/vhs player. This will give you a better picture and sound while allowing you not to have to watch dvd/vhs on a channel which helps make the dvd/vhs player independent. Also if possible I would hook the converter box up with the red, white, yellow rca cables to the tv as well if your tv has more than one set of red, white, yellow plugs since it is a better connection that coax and you probably watch more tv than vhs/dvd anyway. So bottom line try to hook up both boxes red, white, yellow and watch each box on different inputs instead of like channel 3 or 4. Also to record of converter box you can run coax from converter box to dvd/vhs combo and make sure your dvd/vhs player is on tuner input or channel 3.

Can't find a channel to watch a DVD pre-recorded DVD

you should have a input select button on your remote. video 1 should be the front and video 2 should be the back. i had to buy 3 or 4 different universal remotes when mine messed up just to get the one button to change to change it to the inputs because there is no other way to change it to that with he buttons on the tv. kinda surprised that you didn't try and push that button yet.
