Go onto google and look for the Instruction manual or GE site there should be one listed or downloadable somewhere.

My GE Spacemaker microwave flashes F4 when I want to cook fish. What should I do?

"F4" on a GE microwave means you have a failed humidity sensor.
You can get GE parts by searching by model number here.
If you have other questions, please contact me directly since FIxYa doesn't always inform us of follow-up questions.
I would need to know the full model number from the tag on it, and the FCC ID number can be helpful, too.

We have GE JVM1650 spacemaker microwave. At first it would run for 3-5 seconds and turn off. More recently it stopped heating in the middle of the alotted time. Everything works fine, no keypad...

It's a bad magnetron.

See
this FixYa solution even if your full model number is different.

When opening the door a venting sound immediately starts up.

The charcoal filter needs to be changed every 6-12 months, or sooner if it gets clogged.

You can download GE owner's manuals and installation instructions here.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts (including charcoal filters) by entering your full model number from the tag on the oven here.

Ge spacemaker II

On GE models, "SENSOR ERROR" appears on the display when:
  • Using the sensor feature, the door was opened before steam could be detected. Do not open the door until stream is sensed and time is shown counting down on the display.
  • Steam was not detected in the maximum amount of time. Use Time Cook to heat for more time.
Otherwise, yes, it may have a bad humidity sensor (gas sensor, as it's called) which needs to be replaced.

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

You should enter your model number as JEM31GA02.

There should be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or elsewhere inside, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.

Cant figure out how to stop the timer before it goes out, or runs out of time

You should be able to hit the Stop pad, but you can download GE owner's manuals and installation instructions here.

If some of the pads on the keypad are not working, you may have a failed keypad, which can be replaced.

If so, please reply back with your model number and let us know.

Micro beeps 3 times with "F3" flashing on LCD screen. Nothing works.

If it's a GE model, F3 will mean a shorted key panel.

(If it's not a GE, please reply back with your brand and model number so we can help you).

If you might want to replace it yourself, I have uploaded a handy guide with pictures showing you what's typically involved.

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here: http://tinyurl.com/gv383

There should also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting & testing.

BUT If you would like to have us do this for you, we do that for $39.95 plus part costs.

Please feel free to contact me directly if you need more help.

My ge profile spacemaker xl1800 turntable stopped it turns once in a while. What do I need to replace. Where can I find the part number?

It's probably a bad turntable motor or coupler.

GE Profile over the range microwave

It might be better to post this in the GE section, but I'll be happy to answer it here, too.

I would suspect a bad magnetron or high-voltage transformer, but it may be the turntable motor or an arcing stirrer.

If you can post back with the model number and a bit more detail on when and how it happens, we may be able to help you better.
