There is no setting possible.
The ecm monitors the combustion quality and adjusts the timing following the results.
It works with "ionic combustion sensors" - adapted for the first time on an outboard. They monitor combustion conditions by detecting the production of ions in the flame. The ECM adjusts the ignition timing based on the ion density to improve combustion.

Safe rule of thumb is 2 loose leaf papers jammed between the points and one side of a cardboard cover for storing those pages between the magneto and the flywheel. Grew up poor and still use those trucks to this day.

2000 200hp ox66 yamaha outboard has issue with losing power after getting on plane. It drops about 10 rpms at a time until you back down to idle and runs smooth. Throttle back up and issue returns.

Sounds like it has a fuel restriction. Hook up a fuel pressure gauge on the vst tank on the motor to make sure you have 30-50 lbs of fuel pressure.

Exhaust pipe glows red hot at a steady low rev and at start up instantly hot also little sparks come of it when revving the throttle.

The timing is set wrong OR You cannot let these 4strokes sit and idle.They all do it.They need to be ridden to get the air flowing over them to keep things cool.30 secs. idle at start and after a ride,idle for 10 secs. then shut it down.The sparks will probably be carbon build up inside the motor.You get it hot and they break away and come out through the pipe.All the 4strokes are a HP motor and will get hot if you sit and let it run.Hope this helps
