It depends on if it's a crank or electric is it in a case or cabinet , paint, rust, etc. there are many variables , and can range from $20- $300( for the very best with all the bells and whistles) if it's the best I would look for a company that sells to collectors otherwise you just have a nice display and will not get the real money out of it. If you find a collector who wants or needs that machine to complet their collection you may get more. If you would like to do more research on this machine I suggest International Sewing Machine Collectors' Society http://ismacs.net/singer_sewing_machine_company/serial-numbers/singer-em-series-serial-numbers.html

Value and age of Singer Sewing machine?

This may help:

Singer Sewing Machine Company Serial Numbers

If it is the K number, there were 20,000 machines made. So, the likelihood is that there are still a lot of them around. Value is very subjective based on several things including the physical and mechanical condition, accessories included, rarity of the model, etc. FWIW, it seems that the wood cabinets really don't appear to add much, if anything, to the value.

I have an old singer machine made in Canada. Model # J0855850. What is the year and value. Is there a manual available?

You can find some information about your machine here:

Singer Sewing Machine Company Serial Numbers

Unfortunately (or fortunately!), Singer made thousands of sewing machines for over 100 years. There are a lot of them around. Unless yours is a special edition coveted by collectors (Red Eye, etc), it probably doesn't have as much value as you would think. Of course, a lot of it also depends on its condition (physical and operational), the accessories that are included, the storage case, where it is located, etc. Value is really how much someone is willing to pay for it.

Most people keep their old Singers simply because they are great machines, relatively easy to repair (partly because there are a lot of parts available and they are mechanically simple), and fun to use.

If that can of oil is old, throw it out. Only fresh good quality sewing machine oil should be used.

The value is very subjective because there are a lot of factors involved, ie visual and working condition, demand for that particular model, the accessories included, as well as what someone is willing to pay. You can search various internet auction sites for similar models to see the amount they are selling.

I have a serial number for a Antique Singer Sewing Machine set in table. I can't seem to locate it and don't know the current value of this particular item

You really need to locate the serial number for your machine.

Valuation is really based on a lot of items--working condition, visual condition, accessories included, item's location, and most of all, how much someone is actually willing to pay. Vintage Singer sewing machines are common since so many of them were made. However, there are some models that are more coveted than others, ie Featherweight.

Serial numbers lookup

If it is a singer that model was made in 1948. The serial number says that the machine is a very desirable "Featherweight" model 221.

To make sure that it is a Singer Featherweight check to see if it has a fold up bed extension. Also there "221 or 221A" should be on the side in on a small brass plate.

If it is in fair condition it could be worth $200 to $400. The price depends on color and condition but even 221's in poor condition are very saleable.

Hi, I have an old Singer sewing machine serial No Y7734152. I think this was made in Clydebank in 1930. Could you confirm and what value it might be. It is in excellent condition, with arched carry box....

Unfortunately they are not worth a lot, there are thousands still about but people do think they are worth a lot of money, if you look on ebay you will see what I mean.
