Before, when trying to see the problem, I clicked "skip" to see if it would go through all the discs. It did, but still wouldn't open the door. Later, I clicked "play" each time, then "skip", and after going through all 5 discs, the door opened. Go figure.
Mostly The cd is jammed between the laser sensor and the cd rotator.Try removing the audio player and reseting the whole device if possible.Or if you have sufficient technical know how.Open the player try to manually open the disc tray.and remove thedisc. This can happen even if the disc is broken inside the player.
HI, the gear track is stripped and the load motor is stuck between the good section of the track and the bad section of the track. you will need to replace the loading dock in your unit. this will fix this issue.
It wasn't a car cd player, but a component for a stereo. I took off the case and shook the player until the disc dropped out. We plan to replace the player, so no further help is needed. Thank you for getting back to me so quickly.
my onkyo 6 disc changer was doing the same thing was doing the same thing. i opened it up and noticed the cds weren't quite stopping at the right spot. so i loosened the screw right in the middle of the disc tray. now operates perfectly now. i think maybe with age, the belt tension got a little lighter ant loosening the screw compensated for it.
i have had this problem with mine what you can try is when it does the clicking sound you can take your fingers reach under the black part w/ the head and gently push up when it clicks if you hear more clicks and the part moves then try pushing and holding the tape switch located at the left or right top corners of the player then press play if the head goes up but the clicks 3 times fallowed by 6 clicks the repeat the process. what is going on is if they r not use it tends to lock up
If you trust yourself enough to open the case w/o breaking stuff, then open it up UNPLUGGED, locate the laser lens (small, clear, plastic) gently clean the lens with a swab of lens cleaner for glasses. Also clean the chrome runners that the laser assembly tracks on.
The tray won't open. I took top off and dvd top side holder, but the laser mechanism won't disengage so the tray will open, even with no dvd in it. How do
I reset it. I power on, hit open key, it makes hum noise then goes by to
standby mode.
