ACER PROJECTOR 1165 TO RESET PASSWORD DEATIL PLESE

Found an earlier suggestion on this site if you don't have the provided password and also already tried 1234.

1. Turn on the projector 2. Press "Power > Left > Left > MENU" (Opens the system menu)
3. Choose "RD Menu"
4. Choose " EEPROM Restore" (the projector turn off and the power lamp blink red for about 1 minut. Then it stops)
5. Turn on the projector again and it should work again



Acer P3250 will not acccept password

According to the manual listed below you can :
(1) Enter the OSD menu.
(2) To execute "Reset" function.
This resets all the user settings to default.

Press "Play" to change the "Administrator Password".
The factory default of "Administrator Password" is "1234".

Security
This projector provides a useful security function for the
administrator to manage usage of the projector .
Press to change the "Security" setting. If the security function
is enabled, your must enter the "Administrator Password" first
before changing the security settings.
• Select "On" to enable the security function. The user has to
enter a password to operate the projector. Please refer to the
"User Password" section for details.
• If "Off" is selected, then the user can turn on the projector
without password.

you can try to reset the projector back to its factory default setting, go to menu then scroll down look for the reset to factory default

On help and support menu, type restore system. You will get an option to what date your OS will restored. Make sure you decide the correct date ( when the OS is still working fine). Key in the date ( or choose the preset date) the enter. Wait for process done completely. Your OS should be restored now.

Read some Acer manual and it says:

Administrator Password

The "Administrator Password" can be used in both the "Enter
Administrator Password" and "Enter Password" dialog boxes.
• Press "Play" to change the "Administrator Password".
• The factory default of "Administrator Password" is "1234".
If you forgot your administrator password, do the following to
retrieve the administrator password:
• An unique 6-digit "Universal Password" which is printed on
the Security Card (please check accessory in the box). This
unique password is the number which will be accepted by
projector anytime no matter what the Administrator
Password is.
• If losing this security card and number, please contact with an
Acer service center.

I found a solution that worked for me:

If you have forgotten your password, then please do the following, to retrieve the administrator password:
A unique 6 digit "universal password" which is printed on the security card ( must have come along with the projector) The unique password will be accepted by the projector no matter what administrator password you had put in earleir.

In case you have lost the security card and the unique password , you will need to contact the Acer service center in you area.
