My sub zero 600 series has no light in fridge nor on control panel

Just a bad door switch. Turn the unit off, remove the upper grill, then remove the cover over the switches. there are 2. 1 with a black backside, and one that is all white. you want to replace the all white one with a new all white one. it just has 2 wires, doesn't matter what order they go in. pull em off and pop that thing out, then snap the new one into place. all of this should be done with the power off and the door open. you will have to remove the light shield, remove the plastic trim that says the model number in front of the light shield, then the 2 screws holding the side cover on the left side of the fridge section. Then the cover will need to be pushed towards the rear of the fridge then tipped out at the front. It has springs holding it in the back.That should access the bulb you need to change

On this model, the lights work with the light switch, if it stick all the light in that section will not work. Parts number 7014646 (about 20 bucks) If only the control display is not illuminated then the bulb behind the control is the only problem.

Well the most likely cause is 2 bad door switches, though I rarely see the door switch go bad in the freezer. At the top of the door openings you will see 2 switches in the freezer and the fridge. If you pull down the grille and remove the cover over those switches, the light switch will be the one with the white back, and the fan switch will be the one with the black back. I would try changing the switch in the fridge, and maybe start in the freezer by changing at least 1 bulb before blaming the switch. If that 1 new bulb doesn't light, change that switch too.

This is a common problem - replace the left light switch with Sub Zero Part # 3060140.

check if your bulb is busted, have it replace

Try wiggling light switch side to side kinda hard, (the light switch is the one on the left) it should come on, showing you its a bad lt. switch.if that fails install 1 new 40watt,(long) appliance bulb. but it is going to be the switch or the bulb considering there wasn't any wiring work done on unit. part# for the light switch is 3060140 make sure the back of the switch is white not black (black is a fan switch) Good Luck !!!

I had this problem in the fridge portion last year and replaced the switch at the top of the door. Problem solved. There should be two switches: one for the lights and one to turn off the compressor when the door is open. I don't remember which one was which. Try the link below for the part, but double check to make sure it's the right one. They have an 800 number to call as well. Good luck
