Intermittent color on my 42 LG plasma tv

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Is there any other electrical or electronic devices near the TV? If there are, move them away from the TV and see if that clears up those lines. IT could be some kind of interference. Or if there are video games hooked up,,disconnect them also.

Check and replace its main digital board. after replacement, somde adjustments have to be done, and you have to enter its service mode option to do it. Really it is a skilled work, that a customer who has no idea in electronics can do.

If you are lucky it may be asimple power supply problem, with dry electrolytic capacitors. If you can find one or more capacitors with domed tops instead of flat tops, then it is an obvious sign that the capacitors require replacing.

try changing the cables to s-video or hdmi to see if the problem solves. It could be defect or reverse component cables

If you need the mainboard of your TV, be sure to have your TV product code and model number, both are located in the back of the TV next to the derial number.
You might start looking for that board at EBAY but just be sure to use those number while searching, just to be sure you get the board you need.

The tv has lost VS supply to the Zsus board.

You need to get this tv service asap.i beleive that the problem is in the inverter board or yb board.

There is a fault in the main processor that is causing noise. The set will have to be serviced. The tech will probably try the main video processing board to start.

If this is a new set, return it for exchange. This is a warranty repair item.
