Hi

You will need to take it a watchmaker as the capactor is most likely gone in it and will need replacing. I am also assuming that you are an activity person and swing your wrist lots?

Kind Regards
Scott

ITouch Curve Unisex Smart Watch is not turning on OR Charging

By far the most common reason for that watch to fail is the Owner believed it was waterproof and got it wet.
It is "splash resistant", which is meaningless.

After having charged the battery to full and setting the time etc. all works well until i press the light button and then all fails. It would seem that the battery will no longer charge, is this normal...

Hi, As far as the info you quoted ,I am afraid that your battery does not hold charge anymore or charging circuit has a problem and ,it does not charge.
If I were you I will replace the battery first to see if it will work..
If problem continues ,then it will be an expensive repair action as next step..
It is up to you to make it repaired or to buy a new one since repair sometimes costs almost the same price.

Hope this helps! Take care and please Remember to rate/vote for us to continue

I have a Casio 2688 atomic watch and lately it does not hold a charge for a long period of time. It will recharge and then quit within a day.It will hold a medium charge for about 24 hours at most, but...

You likely have a dead battery. Follow the instructions on this web site http://forums.watchuseek.com/f43/how-change-ctl1616-rechargeable-battery-41076.html
it is clear and covers most casio models. Watch closely for the springs when taking your watch apart. You can order the battery online (the best option) but most people that use a standard lithium battery seem to have no problem.

Casio g shock it wont hold charge to wear it. its my husband watch.

As you are probably aware, the battery should hold its charge for a considerable time, so the seem to be two alternatives:-
1) the battery needs replacing
2) it has developed a fault.

If the watch is still within the warranty period, then take it back, if not then you could take it to a watch shop and aske them to check the battery. If it is OK then it looks as though it must go back to a repairer.

For this, go to the Casio wed site (casio.com), select "support" and find your nearest service location.

Casio G-Shock GW-300 2608

Change the battery. This happened with mine along with the battery needing charging more frequently. In my opinion, Casio's assertions that you won't need to change the battery is pretty much of a joke. My jewler concurred.

After changing the battery I can now press the light switch button and the watch works normally.
