You need to call dell and they may be able to provide default password for same, if that's not working you may need to change hard drive in such case.

have you tried going into safe mode

Each Dell has a master password which will clear the BIOS password. You can get this number by calling Dell Technical Support at (800)624-9896.

Dell Technical Support will request the Service Tag and Express Service Code from the bottom of your unit.

You mean the windows log on pass? Which version of windows do you have? Try logging in at the administrator account (the default pass is blank).

also try looking in your manual for mention of a cmos reset jumper,
short these 2 pins and it should reset your bios to defaults and remove any passwords

Remove BIOS battery. Short BIOS jumper or leave the battery out for a long time(Over night,maybe) This should default the BIOS to having no pass word present.  If that doesn't work then evidently Dell has one within the BIOS . Just ask them.
