Your fix could be as simple as cleaning the camera's battery contacts, or it could be something more serious and expensive. First try removing the batteries and cleaning the camera contacts with a small metal brush, steel wool, or fine sandpaper. If that doesn't fix the problem, check the Kodak Help Center by clicking on the link below. It uses a simple Q&A format to diagnose problems and propose solutions.

Won't use rechargeable batteries

It could be due to the fact that some rechargeable batteries are slightly different shapes and the nobbly bit on the + end doesn't reach far enough in, as it is the case with Maplin AA batteries.
In my case I placed a small drop of solder with a soldering iron on the + nipple and now they reach into any device.

My Kodak G600 printer dock will not recharge my Ni-MH batteries.

Hi there,

you're right. You only can charge the Orginal KAA2HR batterypack of kodak in the cameras.

The kodake easy share c633 wont turn on even with new battries

The problem you describe is frequently the result of dirty/corroded battery contacts in the camera. Try removing the batteries and cleaning the inside contacts with a fine wire brush, steel wool, or fine sandpaper. Remove any residue left from the cleaning, then replace the batteries. Hopefully all will be well.

If the cleaning doesn't work you might want to check the Kodak troubleshooting guide at:

Power On the Kodak C633

akaline batteries batteries are not powerful enough to last more than a few shots, maybe 15 or 20 depending on the lcd screen if its running all that time.
use a much heavier NiMh (nickel metal hydride)
they last for 50 to 100 shots.
if you still have the issue then its a camera circuit issue
Consider rechargeable as they save a fortune
