WON'T PRINT RED - ESP Kodak Office Equipment & Supplies

My Instax 7s won’t take any pictures only make a click noise goes blank then The red lights starts blinking I have brand new batteries and new film in what else should I do ?

I got mine to work by changing the port from USB001 to USB002 prints great now, there is problems with installing on windows 8, you have to disable driver verification or the driver won't install.

Good printer don't give up on it.

Main Cartridge is black it is required for printing it is not possible to print black with other cartridge.

Check the red ink printer cartridge. also check the settings

If the round red light you describe is a circle of dots that indicates a developer change is due. This needs to be done by a technician but the machine should work fine without doing the developer change.

Hold down the Stop/Reset Button (it has a red triangle on it) on your printer for 10 to 15 seconds until the light stops flashing.
This will disable the ink level monitoring for the empty cartridge, but be careful not to print with a completely empty cartridge, as this can burn out the print head.

Try to print with other colors. Change the font color to red. If that printed, then you need to change cartridge for the black ink.

It's possible magenta ink to be finished, or the print head is dirty and it has dry ink on it. You must clean it with hot water. You must use the printer from time to time to avoid to dry the ink cartridge or print head.

I've fixed 5 HP1600s already using the instructions in the PDF

remove print head assembly. clean off.
print head not on cartridge.
