The CP185 is programmable. Dealer programmable. Channel one is just a number, not the frequency the radio will transmit on. The radios require reprogramming. The dealer will check the tone codes then also.

Does the motorola t4500 have an eliminator

Setting a Channel

Your radio has 22 channels. Channels 1-7 and 15-22 are 1 watt. Channels 8-14 are

0.5 watt. When the radio is on a 1 watt channel, displays. When the radio is on

a 0.5 watt channel, displays.

1. With the radio on, press . The current channel flashes.

2. Press or to set the channel.

3. Press to save the channel setting. You have a pretty straight forward Low wattage FM Walki/Talki

I would have them returned or replaced.

If you can not transmitt on one to the other

They will not communicate with eacher other. they

Your problem is vague. You could have one not transmitting or one not receiving, or one not doing both. Can you test these independently? Do either of them communicate with another radio?
What you really need is to put these radios on a service monitor and see what each is actually doing in terms of frequency signal generated, power output, deviation, sensitivity....
A radio repair shop should be able to check these out in five minutes

No communication with one of my motorolla T6550 radios

I believe you have a defective microphone in the bad one. Since you have a new warranty, I suggest that you use it and don't wait around.

Talk about frequency change

To change channel & code press talk and monitor while turning radio on. Radio will speak current channel. Release both talk and monitor. Press talk to change to next channel or press monitor to keep current channel. Press monitor when desired channel is selected, radio will speak current code. Press talk to change to next code or press monitor to keep current code. Press talk to change code as desired then press monitor when done. Will speak channel and code selected. Set all units in same manner to communicate.

Motorola T5725 won't work

I have T5720s - both have the same settings (channel 1), both are charged, but they won't communicate. They beep when you push the "talk" button, but you don't hear anything on the second radio.

Any ideas?
Thanks!
