These are not plug and play modules.
You need a new motherboard.

I am aware of the board replacement (vizio apparently knows of the issue), I did have a monitor that had a 99 cent capacitor fail, I replaced it, and its still working. I know that these boards are repaired and resold, I was wondering which particular component failed, so I can replace it. The boards are expensive and hard to find

You could take a look om ebay or craigslist and see if there is a cracked screen model that you could scavenge for the parts you need.

No sound on visio tv hooked up to dish network by HDMI cable

Check whether the audio is muted by accidental press at remote control button. Enter its sound menu, and check it. If muted, as you know there will be no audio output. If not muted, Check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device; in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

How do I get my Sony universal remote to work with my Visio tv!

On your Visio TV remote control there will be a Source button or Input button. Press it & on your TV screen select HDMI 1 or HDMI 2. See the TV to see how the HDMI cable is connected from TV to Set Top Box. Now take the other remote control i.e. Sony Universal remote in your hand. Press mute & Select simultaneously. A blue light will blink twice, Immediately release the buttons & enter the code. You have to be extremely fast in doing this.
Following are few codes which you can try:
002, 000, 011, 080, 111, 006, 071, 128, 1904, 925, 0000, 0834, 0810, 1685, 1786, 1032, 1972.
Check the Visio TV manual for the make of your TV & model no & if code is printed. Then contact Visio TV manufacturer or retailer for the Visio TV code to enter & synchronize with the Sony Remote Control.

How I hook up my mhl HDMI cable to my vizio eco 1080p?

Essentially one end of an MHL cable will plug into the micro USB port on your phone or tablet while the other will plug into an HDMI port on a television (or monitor) and your phone's screen will then be mirrored on the external screen.

You obviously need an HDMI port on your VISIO which, if fitted, will normally be on the back of the VISIO unit next to other connection ports. If you have a much older Visio which does not have an HDMI port fitted by the manufacturer then you cannot use an HDMI cable obviously.

I have a 47" Visio 1080p. Tv is always set at hdmi

AV inputs are for standard analog video which is 480i. HDMI and Component inputs are the high definition inputs that run at either 1080i or 1080p You won't ever get 1080i or p through AV inputs.

Visio 42" Plama Screen perodically loses resolution !

Looks like you got a decoder board that may be having issues, Bad connection is one thing but if it clears up over time or a simple restart clears it up yeah that would be a decoder issue right now if things are tolerable I would ignore it but if this is under warranty by all means bring it in. Your going need a new decoder board. Thanks using fixya.com please do rate my solution thanks.

SV470XVT Vizio picture freezes

Hello, This seems more like an interface problem then a board issue. Which interface are you using Component Video, HDMI or , RF(F Connector)? If you are using the RF (F Connector) there might be a problem in the tuner including the RF and IF sections on the circuit board. If you are using HDMI there might be a problem in the HDMI Integrated Circuit If you are using componente video the there might be a problem in the video circuits connected to the RCA jacks of the Component video input. If I were you I would have the take the TV back to the shop and have these items checked out, because board swapping is not the proper thing to do. I hope this helps, Thank you, Shuttle83 http://www.electron-age-technologies-llc.com
