On my new Kindle Paperwhite - language is Spanish --I need to have the language in English

For paperwhite go to main screen. Tap upper left corner to get home screen. Then on opposite side there are 3 lines, tap that and choose settings. When you get to settings if it says: registered to: your name tap deregister and start all over with the process.

From the Home Menu swipe down to get the pull down menu. Select the gear on the right hand side which is Settings. Select the Language option which may or may not read Idioma in Spanish. If the menus are in the same order as in English it should be immediately after the Keyboard option which may read Teclado. The first option under Idioma sets the language for the table. Select the first option. If those options are in English select English, if they are in Spanish it should say Ingles.

How to Change Language on the Kindle Paperwhite

I believe there is an online handbook for all kindles. If you find it on the kindle info part of amazon I think it tells you how to reset the language. If I can work it out on my kindle I'll come back to you. Alternatively you find a friend / neighbour with one and try their machines help pages?
