Either your machine was not threaded with the presser foot wasn't up when you threaded the upper thread... or your upper tension isn't tight enough.

The bobbin winder rubber is a standard size for all machines and providing you an get to the winder it is easy to fit

The top thread is loose and the bobbin thread is pulling the top thread down

The same thing just happened to me, but I am miising a piece that fell off. Make sure there is a little metal wire piece on .the bobbin winder, if not that is your problem
