From what you have described you need to replace the door light switch on your Frigidaire freezer. In order to assist you further I would need your model number. You can locate your serial tag (which lists your model number) on the inside wall of your freezer. I look forward to assisting you. -Matt

I suggest that you try contacting their factory service help. They might be able to send you a print for it or tell you what to look for over the phone.

Does the fans come on . If so than you may have a bad start relay or compressor

it has connection problems when you open the door of freezer connecting wire turn gradually and one time comes up light normally,you repair connecting wire of lights.

you need model number and serial number . refrigerant type and possibly the compressor model number to determine the txv type and capacity

I looked at the parts diagram (GE model#FUF14SUDRWW) on Searspartsdirect. I didn't see an actual on/off switch, but it does show a temperature control switch in the inside of the unit. On some of the freezers, if you turn the knob all the way to the left, it acts as an off switch and kills the unit. It looks like the knob inside the cabinet, on the lower back right side (it could be upper..hard to tell by that diagram). If there is no knob, but an empty hole, then the knob is missing and you might have to turn the shaft with pliers to check it. If you get a click at one limit of the switch when it is turned, that means it is acting as an on/off switch. If nothing happens when turning it after the click, I would suspect a bad switch. Since the lights nor compressor are working, it would point at a switch. You can probably find it cheaper than Sears by googling the part # WR09X10064. I saw it as low as $84 at some of the appliance parts site. A local place might have a used one for cheaper.

Go to "Support" and then do the "Ask the True service Dept." They will need your model and serial numbers and they will send it to you.

I have several units but only one does this icing up thing. Look for a bad seal on the door gasket. These really ice up if that does not seal almost perfectly. Look for premature termination of the defrost cycle. Check that the heater is pulling amps. The wiring diagram at "turboairinc.com" is very poor but it shows 2 heaters for the refrigerator. They list a diagram for the freezer but it's not there. I know for sure that there is a heater for the evap but don't know about the drain. I've seen some have it and some don't. there tech support line has much to be desired but it's worth a shot. Also, the bottom hinge on the door fails fairly regularly. This allows the door to drop just enought to disengage the switch at the top of the door and stop the evap fan from running, thus causing a freeze up.
