I would be watching the tv and without warning the screen would just go blue and switch of and back on again whilst making a loud static noise when doing so. what is causing this problem. my tv is only 1 year since bought.
Bad capacitors in the power supply. You will find bulging capacitors in power supply. Replace the caps with exact same values...this is pretty much an easy fix. Thanks for asking, Matt of Martins TV.
Try changing the Video cables.

I had the same problem with my 1 year old 26" TV. I called Magnavox customer service, and they had me upload a new software driver to the TV - which didn't solve the problem. Then they suggested that I call the local Authorized Service Center - and they estimated that it would cost $200+ to fix the problem. But then I found the "remove the back solution" listed here - and it worked!
