Add more salt and no salt strips only chlorine
There is also some chlorine called super chlorine that would work better

SOURCE: My intex saltwater system pump is beeping

Yes, and be sure to keep up with your pH as it will want to rise slowly over time when using a salt water chlorine generator.

SOURCE: Intex salt water chlorinator 56602

Hello,
First of all 91 is low salt content not too much

Are you checking your salt level with a test strip
You need to be at 3000ppm anything under 2800ppm can trigger an alarm and not produce enough chlorine.
Same thing if you are over 3600ppm
all manuals just give you an amount to start with but it is up to you to fine tune it

After adjustments you need to filter only for 24 hours before trying to generate chlorine

SOURCE: Low salt alarm on Intex system

I had the same problem and my father just kept adding salt wo telling me and it kept saying low salt-I called intex they said to clean the cell with vinegar as instructed in book, and if that didnt help to call back for a warranty claim on the unit bc I just purchased mine in June. I am currently waiting on it to come in. We had to drain half the pool and refill with water and start over. be careful!

I have set my pool and chlorinator up it is brand new today it keeps reading code 92 but doesn't light up saying low or high salt. Is the chlorinator faulty?

Salt generators take, on average, around 24 hours between adding salt and the system realizing or analyzing the data. A code 92 usually means salt levels are too high, but not always. It is best to take a water sample to a pool store for analysis to truly determine if that's the case. If so, draining some water and adding fresh water are the only real ways to rectify the salinity. Best wishes and hope this helps.

Have an intex 16 x48" salt water pool generator

I checked the Intex web site and here is what they said:

There are several things you may need to check and do:

- Test the salt level first with Test Kit, and add salt as needed.
- Remove the electrolytic cell for inspection and clean it if necessary.
- If code 91 still appears despite the above steps, there might be a possible electrolytic cell
failure. Please contact Intex Service Center, and replace the cell if needed.

NOTE: Always turn the power off and disconnect power cord before cleaning and servicing.

I hope this helps.

My intex saltwater system pump is beeping ''91'' meaning ''low salt level''. Do I need to just add salt again?

Yes, and be sure to keep up with your pH as it will want to rise slowly over time when using a salt water chlorine generator.

No warning code, green light on but no chlorine produced???????

make sure your ppm is at least 3000 low salt may not trigger an alarm but is not sufficient for generating chlorine

also make sure you are running the generator for at least 4-6 hours to give the chlorine time to register

the system itself blows out very minute amounts of chlorine but build up after hours of being on

No chlorine reading

Salt is sodium chloride, you can only measure salt levels now as your CL (cloride) is bound to a NA (sodium). Table salt =NACL, Your Intex system will tell you if your salt level is too high or too low but your old test equipment for free chlorine will continue to tell you no chlorine as it can't react with the chloride any longer as it is bound to the salt. That is why they tell you you never have to add more because the salt stabilizes it. Your chlorine is there it's bound to the salt. Use the pool it's fine and it makes your water feel really soft! Just keep the salt level right and your fine> It's confusing as they call the unit a chlorine generator! I had the same issue, called Intex and they told me the above.
