How to clean lens on rca projection tv model# p61960 ?

I had a 56 toshiba do that and it was the light bulb inside. It wasn't difficult to replace.

IT POWERS ON BUT IT'S OUT OF ALIGNMENT ON ALL COLORS AND MISSING THE CLOTH THAT COVERS THE SPEAKERS HAVE THE REMOTE SCREEN IS IN GREAT CONDITION ALSO HAVE SOME NEW CRT COOLANT RUBER SEALS ,AND THREE NEW LENCES THAT I WAS GOIN TO REPLACE BUT CHANGED MY MIND PLUS NO TIME.

Your tv has two screens on it. The outter screen and the inner screen. The outter screen has a frame around it held on by clips. You can remove this outter screen by gently prying it from the tv. There is a small gape between the outter screen and the tv casing. When prying the outter screen be carefull not to dsanage the tv case or the outter screen frame. Take note of the location of each clips because you will need thses to put the outter screen back on. Clean with a good gentle screen cleaner, (Do Not Use Windex). Philips screen cleaning gel for plasma & LCD works very good. Install the outter screen back on the tv by making sure the clips line up and use light pressure to snap it back in place. Do Not Hit Outter Screen To Force Clips Into Place.. I do this on my tv about once every 6 months or so.

That sounds like a Pincushion problem if you having bowing. It's probably bad caps and diodes on the deflection module. This is not an easy fix. If you know how to read a diode and you visually inspected the caps you might have some chance of fixing it yourself.

More likely a bad flyback transformer......T.

Convergence ICs need to be replaced.
