Why won't the red blinking light go off on my primo water cooler?

Having the model number is useful in these questions.

According to this, a red flashing light means the water is heating. If it never goes to steady red, it may indicate that the heating element may have failed.

Make sure the hot water tank switch is on if it's not on turn it on should take about an hour for the water to heat up if it still doesn't work get a flashlight light shine through the the back greats there should be a black tank and there should be a black button with white. Take a long screwdriver or something like that press it into the reset button hold it in for 5 to 10 seconds and then let it go then turn your hot water heater back on and it should take about an hour to heat up when you press in with the reset button make sure that it is off unplugged is the safest

If it tastes funny, take it back!
Maybe a bad batch.
Why not just get a good filter for your tap water?
Cheaper and more convenient than lugging water home (IMHO).

FIRST USE
Rinse water tank before first use.
Fill water tank with fresh, drinking water. insert
water tank to machine.
Switch machine on. Power button starts
blinking red while machine is heating up for
approx. 40 seconds. Afterwards power button
lights steady green and machine is ready.

ON
Push selection lever to the "HOT" position.
Machine starts rinsing.
Open locking handle and insert empty capsule
holder. Close locking handle.
Place jug under outlet.
Push selection lever to the "COLD" position.
Machine starts rinsing.
After approx. 60 seconds push selection lever
to the "STOP" position. Empty jug and refill
water tank with fresh, drinking water.
Make sure that the selection lever is in "STOP"
position. Then plug the power plug into a
mains power socket.
After approx. 60 seconds push selection lever
to the "STOP" position. Machine stops rinsing
and power button blinks red for about 5
seconds.

Place drip grid on drip tray. Then insert drip
tray at desired position of drip tray.
Then insert drip tray at desired position of machine.

I have this same problem...any answers out there?

What do I do with my Primo water dispenser whenever the red light keeps flashing I have a full bottle of water in there but it just keeps flashing I can turn it off and turn it back on or I can push the button in the door and it'll go off within the next 20 minutes it will come back on and the water's cold and then the water goes to lukewarm

Using one cup of bleach Per 5 gallon jug. Find the drain plugs on the bottom of the unit there are two. Drain unit of any water that is in it now. Replaced drain plugs. Place 5 gallon jug on top of unit and allow unit to fill. Be sure that heated water is off. Open spigots and allow a gallon of water to drain. After about 15 minutes open the drain plugs and allow all of the solution to drain out. Proceed to fill the 5 gallon jug with clean Clear filtered water and allow that to drain thru the unit, do this five more times.

I JUST BOUGHT A PRIMO BOTTOMLOADING WATER DISPENSER AND ITS BEEN ON ALL NIGHT AND THE WATER IS WARM. I LOOKED ON THE BACK TO SEE IF THERE WAS A WAY TO TURN IT UP BUT FOUND NOTHING. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT TO DO. RNMALIN@ COMCAST.NET

There should be no crack or pin hole in your water bottle.
Water bottle should be air-tight to make proper pressure inside bottle.
Whenever lose pressure, water overflow with no bubble.
Just replace water bottle with no crack or pin hole.
