Why does my baby gaggia have good steam but no flow for espresso?
I helped my father to fix two of these machines that had this problem. He never uses the steam, only making crema coffee all day long, every day.
It is not easy to fix, but its not complicated either. If there is no water flow from the brew group, but still steam, that means the brew group has gotten clogged with Calcium.
When you take it apart you will be amazed.
You will need a very short and fat Philips head screw driver.

or similar. Any hardware store will have it. 1st step is to turn the machine on its side on a soft surface to protect from scratches.
Remove the brew head and look in the brew group where you prob. haven't looked before. You will see a screen with a Phillips head screw in the middle. You need the screw driver to remove that screw. It is like almost melted in from the high heat so you need a Phillips with a fat head so as to not strip it, and a thick handle to apply a lot of torque. And you will need a bit of strength.
If you make it past this just hit me back and I'll tell you more. Or hit me if you have any other questions about this step, or at all. Believe it or not, there is more stuff past the screen.

i dont know your location, but you can check this sites mentioned above:
www.oemmeci.it
www.nuovaricambi.it
or you can check in car parts shops at your location, you should look at parts> sealings for brake pipes.... you request the sealing from rubber named VITON or SILICON.

HI
If you have a pre-grind button on your machine, push it but don't put any coffee in the brew unit. Push any of the coffee buttons, and see if water will come out then. If it does not, then you have a plugged brew unit and the brew head needs cleaning. I have directions for cleaning.

Remove shower and screw, then run brew button, if that works clean shower, if not remove allen wrench screws and clean diffuser and valve on spirng.

The only thing that comes to mind is that the machine is in steam/hot water mode. Unless you replace the switch and turn off the steam light so that it sends the water to the correct location. Also you might want to remove the shower screen and make sure it is clean.
Testimonial: "Thank you very much for your quick response. I've ordered the steam switch. "

Either the switch is broken or the thermostat for the steam is damaged.
