I can't find answers anywhere on how to open battery compartment for the Elgin cat & fish bowl mini clock! I've searched the clock...I don't see any access points and the internet, nothing...I did read some where that the original packaging does not come with instructions, which leads me to believe it can't be changed, leaving it "one and done"! That makes no sense considering it is an Elgin... I saw one on the site...Worth Point, I think that's what it's called??? It described it as "easy to change" although lol I'm sure they have no clue! So, it's still a mystery...I've nearly scratched mine up so I'm leaving as is sadly! Good luck!
After replacing the transmitter batteries several times, I tried replacing the clock batteries. They must have been getting low. Once I put in new batteries in the clock it worked fine. Good Luck.
After changing the batteries on the outside unit, remove the batteries from the clock for a few minutes, then replace them. This will reset the clock to 'talk' to the transmitter.
