I had the same problem. The projector works wonderfully connected to my iPhone (with an adapter), and connected to other kinds of laptops, but not with mine. Apparently the projector is not compatible with every laptop. I had to connect my projector to my laptop via a Netgear PTV1000 streaming player in order to use it.
You connect to the player wirelessly. Then use the HDMI cable to connect the player to the projector.

I happened to already have the player so I didn't have to purchase a new device. I hope this helps you.

The screen on my M460E goes blue with two black lines through it. What could it be, video card problems?

Hi,

Yes this indicates that your video card has gone bad and would need to be replaced. Sadly, the whole mother board would have to be replaced. Hope I helped

Blue vertical line on my desktop

The blue lines are a sign that the screen itself is failing. You can try to reseat the data cables from the motherboard to the back of the screen, but in most cases this is indicative of an immenent screen failure.

HP zd8000 laptop power supply

I found the solution - and implemented it, it works. The blue (ID) line needs to show 7.5v. The simple way to acheive this is to simply put a 47k resistor from the +19.5v line to the ID line. Apparently there is a pull down at the computer end that means it ends up at 7.5v.

I cut the cable about 6" from the old HP power supply. I then soldered a female power socket onto the loose cable and soldered the 47k resistor between the ID line and the +19.5 line. I then plugged this onto my two pin power supply and the plugged it into my computer. It works very nicely.

Not wishing to junk the HP power supply unecessarily - it was still producing the 19.5v - I then soldered a power plug onto that ignoring the ID line. That now works as well. It seems that the circuitry that provided the 7.5v ID voltage in the HP power supply became flakey. I could have just opened up the power supply (I have already done that) and disconnected the blue line from the circuit board and just tied it to the +ve line via the 47k resistor and then wrapped it with the usual insulating tape.

Toshiba satelite m35-s456 special edition

Is the blue line appears always or only in windows? If the lines appear only within windows then there could be driver related problem.
To make sure try to enter the bios when starting your laptop. If you cal see the blue lines there, then there is a chance that you have lcd problem

Laptop wireless hook up

I just got your messages, looking at the details of your laptop it has a build in wireless so as you have noticed since its working now, you won't need to purchase a adapter for the laptop since it already has one build in.

Let me know if you need assistance with anything else.

Blue line on the screen

Try hooking up an external monitor to the video adapter on your laptop. If the screen appears fine (no blue line) then your video card is good but you laptop's LCD monitor is bad. I would check eBay for a replacement. They are not too difficult to replace if you are somewhat mechanically inclined (can unscrew some screws and disconnect a wire plugged in the motherboard).

hope this helps! : )

Blue Vertical Line on my laptop screen

Does the line still appear if you plug it into an external monitor? If not sounds like your laptop screen has developed a fault, unlikely to be related to what you did with your camera just coincidence. The only way around this would be to replace the laptop screen. Not an easy job but not too difficult if you can find the same screen for sale on Ebay for example. Either that or replace the laptop and sell the old one on ebay for someone else to fix. Hope that helps Chris
