My fujifilm J10 will not turn on with a fully charged battery and my battery will not turn on any other fujifilm j10.

Hi, It sounds like your battery can't hold a charge anymore. My suggestion would be to get a new battery for the camera and then it should work fine.

I have a Fuji FinePix J10 camera, Recently I lost all my files and I had to reinstall my computer. Unfortunately, I cannot find the Installation CD for the camera. Is there a FREE download somewhere?

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

When I start my finepix J10 camera it says "protected card". What should I do?

There are several possible causes for "memory card locked/protected", "memory card error", or "no memory card". Some include trying to use of a 4GB SDHC card with an older camera made before SDHC format came out. Others include problems with the tiny slide switch on the side of the card, or the electrical contact switch internal to the camera. The problem may also arise from simple formatting problems if the card has never been formatted in the camera (note that this will also erase the card). Troubleshooting tips for this problem may be found at this link.

I got my camera awhile back and I got a new laptop in that time. I don't have the installation cd for camera finepix j10. Is there anyway I can work around that to install my pictures?

You don't need additional software.

I have a Fuji finepix J110w. I am receiving a PROTECTED CARD message when I turn on my camera. It wont take pictures.

Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

My finepix j10 is saying that the memory is full after 53 pics and i have a card that holds 2100 plus the internal what is wrong? is it the camera or memory card?

You need to download the pics from the internal memory and then format it with no card in the camera. Then, your memory card should work.

Removing battery for charging

Open the battery/memory card door on the bottom of the camera by sliding it towards the end of the body. Move the plastic, orange, locking switch away from the battery. The battery should then spring up slightly, enough that you can pull it out with your fingers. When you re-install the battery, make sure to put the contacts on the battery into the camera, making sure to line up the battery's orange stripe with the orange lock switch on the camera. If you need to use any force, you're doing it the wrong way.

Can I charge the battery in Fuji FinePix J10 with my PC?

Nope. Gotta use the supplied external charger. Won't charge via USB, if that's what you are hoping.

Camera power problems?

It's not the battery. It turned out to be a memory card problem.

I took out my old memory card and put in a new one. It started working properly after that.
