There is some reason maybe not explained here. But I will help you if you want. Below is a simple test. The manual I need you to make sure if you have the RM2652 or another model to get the correct manual. That model has digital controls and that is controlled by a control board for switching from AC to DC to Propane. If the board will not switch then we need to look for that problem. Dometic, good refrigerate and great support group. Now here is a link to that model number problem solving PDF. With the manual we can work together to solve this. Thanks, Sea Breeze http://www.dometic.com/FileOrganizer/1-international/Operation%20&%20Installation%20Manuals/Refrigerators%20-%20Caravan%20-%20Motohomes-%20RV/English%20and%20Multilingual/RM2652-RM2852.pdf

Below is a link to their customer center. They are good about helping their customer worldwide. Thanks for the vote. I did search for that model in the Caravan 3 way style. They have hundreds of versions. Nothing falls exactly on your model number. You may need to surf their site awhile for your model and the control components. But a talk on the phone with them to get the correct direction for your model is better than the cost of driving to a dealer and getting repairs. YouTube has service movies covering Dometic. Not unless you unplug the thermistor from the circuit board and let it run for 24 hours. If it does not cool after that then your cooling unit is bad.

No cooling on 12v or gas

Hello,Depending on the age of the unit, it could have a compressor going bad on it, as the compressor gets hot the valves may not be seating correctly or may be burning out.
You may have also lost some refrigerant, but I am going to lean more to a bad compressor.
Thanks

Dometic RM 2800 Works great on AC but not on LP

Most likely cause is a blocked gas jet in the main burner its rare for the thermostat to be faulty but you cant dismiss it

Dometic rm7732 not cooling

Hi,

If the refrigerator isn't cool, you need to answer some questions, then see if the compressor is running.

First, answer these questions:

  • Is the refrigerator completely dead? If so, see “It's stopped completely.”

  • Is the thermostat knob turned to the proper setting? If not, reset it.

Next, see if the compressor motor is running

The compressor is a football-sized case with no apparent moving parts. It's on the outside of the refrigerator at the back near the bottom. If it is humming or making a continuous noise and your refrigerator is still not cooling, there may be a more serious problem with one or more of several different components, we recommend contacting a qualified appliance repair technician for further help.

If the compressor is not running but you do have power to the refrigerator, there may be a problem with one or more of these:

  • The compressor

  • The Thermostat

  • The overload, relay, or capacitor

  • The defrost timer

  • The condenser fan motor

Dometic Caravan Fridge 7271

Your refrigerant may have completely separated in the system. Shut of the gas, disconnect the electrical and remove refrigerator from the coach or if you have sufficient room inside set it on a clean area. This operation is what is called burping the system.
1. From the base roll it onto the door and wait five minutes.
2. roll it onto the top and wait five minutes.
3. Roll it on the back and wait five minutes.
4. Return it to the base and wait five minutes.

Reinstall it or test it on electrical. It should show signs of cooling in about 30 minutes in the freezer compartment if the system is not plugged in the boiler.
