98 trailer with a Dometic RM2652 will not ignite on propane

The unit works on Auto (110) just fine - perhaps too cold but will not ignite on gas setting. Cleaned burner region - no soot or corrosion. Gas is getting to burner but no spark seen. Check light always comes on after 45 seconds. Burner will light manually with match and fridge cools down well but I know without a normal sparking burner the fridge will not work properly. How do I determine if it is the igniter or the black box that is the problem?

Dometic DM 2652 just installed in travel trailer. Went to plug in and turn on later and discovered no lights or power? what do I start checking?

Because it lights up with a match you know that the thermocouple(blackbox)is working so it must be the spark igniter.......

RM2652 cools great on gas and 110 but will only cycle on and off in 110 mode. Once gas is selected, it will never cycle off.
These dual service refrigerators are somewhat tricky. Did you check the gas system for any carbon buildup around the flame/burner area. If the flame is not the proper size it will not get cold enough to shut off. Clean all carbon/dirt from the flame area and check again. Propane causes deposits after a while.

CAN YOU MANUALLY LIGHT A DOMETIC RM2652 PROPANE FRIDGE IN A 2006 TRAILER
It will not light manually as the ignition probe is electronically controlled. If it doesn't stay lit normally then it will more then likely not stay lit when trying to light manually.

According to the manual the following is the most likely items to cause that failure. But since it is only in the frigerator section and not the freezer section it could be the lower circuit board.

Dometic RM2652 will not cool on A/C or propane, I've checked fuses, and AC to refer. I opened the access panel on outside of Travel Trailer, and there is yellow powder on bottom, and some on heating tube....
Ammonia is just what you a re smelling as the coolant is ammonia based Your cooling unit has leaked and is done for- Sorry I had to be the one to tell you

2 choices Replace the refer or Replace the coiling unit, I would suggest replacing the refer and having a new warranty
