This usually happens when you are downloading the ringtone. During the download a piece of the file either got damaged or lost. Call your cellular provider and ask them to refund or resend the ringtone. If they refund you the moey for the ringtone, simply redownload it and you should be fine.

Often i get a msg on my ringtones saying error playing. when this occurs my tones dont work i never know when it is going to happen so often i miss calls that i dont know have came. pulling the battery...

It seems that the ringtone that you have kept is either missing from the device or the file is corrupt. Please try to change the tone or open any other music file and set it as your ringtone.
Feel free to revert for any further assistance.

Hi Jane,
To put mp3 files as message tone you have to download a .mid file and put it in with all of your other mp3 files. once you have done that go into settings and go to the message tone settings. press use my effective alert tone or what ever it says and click play on the .mid file the just go across and find the mp3 you want but dont go out of the play mode until you select the mp3 you want.
im glad i could help.

Boost won't let you downloade free ringtones

There's a little known secret few people know about to get ringtones without having to sign up at any website.

Just follow these directions:

1) Download Firefox as your browser.
Download here:
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/upg…

2) Install the add-on called: Video Download Helper 4.7.
Download here: (its free)
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox…

3) Re-start Firefox

4) If the icon for Video Download Helper (3 little colored balls grouped together) is not showing on your top toolbar, right click on the toolbar and select, 'customize'. When the window opens, find the icon and drag it to your toolbar.

5) Click. 'Done' at he bottom of the window.

6) Now, when you go to any website where you can click to hear a ringtone - the icon in your toolbar will light up and begin to spin when the ringtone begins to play. Click on the icon and - in the drop down box - you'll see the file for the ringtone that is playing. Clicking on the file will automatically download it.

Above your toolbars in Firefox click: Tools > Options > and the Main tab at the top of the window when it opens. See: 'Save files to' (with a box next to it ) to see where your ringtone was downloaded to on your computer.

Transfer the file to your phone and you have a free ringtone.

Note: These files will usually be MP3 files. If your phone doesn't allow MP3 files you'll have to convert the file to the file format your phone can use as a ringtone.

Ringtone change

The ipaq is not playing large files. It only makes a small beep sound if the wav file is big. I am using a wav file of less than 800 k and it works.
