Acer 9410Z Hi,i recently purchased an aspire 9410Z(vista), did a system restore & now every time it starts i get a small window in the middle of my monitor that says "thanks you for chosing acer, for more information contact www.acer.com" IT WON'T GO AWAY!!!. the only way i can get rid of it is to take it out with task manager. also since i did the restore i lost my "gagets" in eManagement.....any ideas?HELP please

    i restored it &  now it works great...as far as i know mine has bluetooth(whatever that is) don't know how to use it so doesn't matter if it has it or not...starting to love the "vista" though

The Acer site (Acer.com) is pure garbage. They don't even have the Acer (Aspire) 9410Z listed. Further, the contact information for service does nothing??? You can't even reach them or get the info. I just had this lemon in the shop today for a $110.00 repair and have lost most of my programs.
What a lemon, I regret the purchase! The company should test their site form time to tme and see they are missing some of their products as well as their site doesn't work. Pure junk outfit. Never again!

Your computer is bluetooth ready, i had the same problem. It doenst ship with bluetooth. You have to add the chip later(afterwards/aftermarket)

And did you contact Acer? the gadgets can be updated at Acer.com, there are new versions of almost everything there. I think the Window wants you to register it again. I'm kinda PO'd because the Z issupposed to have Bluetooth but I can't get it to see a bluetooth device anywhere.

THE VISTA ON MY ACER ASPIRE 3680-2680 HAD PROBLEMS

Hi,

If you have no support discs & did not make a recoverty disc then you will have to contact the retailer you purchased the laptop from or Acer themselves. You should have documentation that will detail your product key though without this you may have issues getting the genuine copy of vista reinstalled. An alternative would be to buy a copy of windows 7 (if your laptop can take it) as it is far more stable & streamlined than Vista. or get a genuine copy of XP for cheaper.

Its probably also a good idea to take it back to the local computer guy & demand he reinstalls vista or gives you a genuine copy of XP. You can report him to the police for distributing illegal software too.

Need to reset aspire 9410Z to factory settings so I can reload the recovery disks

Click the start menu, click "All Programs" and look out for "Backup & Recovery Manager", click it and get started.

Make sure you read carefully before you carry out any action. (This is mainly for Windows Vista Users)

Have you tried removing the app using the control panel? Download, and reinstall. If that doesn't work it's possible you've got something else installed that's conflicting with those services. The first thing you could try is a system restore if it only started failing recently.

Restore window vista for acer aspire 5920

Hi Acer supply the restoration files in a hidden partition on your hard drive. If it is the same as mine try this. Start the pc, then while the Acer logo is showing, press ALT & F10 at the same time. Then just follow the instructions. Bear in mind that this will format your C drive so you should do a backup of any important data first. Hope this helps.
