What breaker? The breaker for the condenser? Likely have a compressor shorted to ground or drawing locked rotor amps. Easiest way to tell is make sure breaker off, unhook compressor wires from contactor. Turn on breaker and turn on machine. If the breaker does not trip, obviously problem with compressor
Hello, check the tstat wiring from the air handler to the outside unit and check for any wires that are loose or possibly touching metal, also, make sure the wires are connected securely at the air handler, tstat, and outdoor unit.
Unfortunately no, this is one of three things. 1. Compressor is worn and is starting to pull to many amps to operate. Can possibly be fixed by putting a hard start kit on the unit, but will have to be done by a technician. 2. Compressor has an internal short and will have to be replaced. 3. Fuses bad or under sized. Max fuse size is stated on information plate on outside unit.
Sorry to hear about your troubles and hope you can get it fixed soon!
1- check the fuse must support the current of the unit not less than (rla of the unit)
2- check freon pressure may below or toohigh causes compressor winding over heating
3- check fan motor winding
vC/vh Trip or code 6. The start cap and or the start relay is bleeding voltage to the comp in the off cycle. Replace both the cap and relay for the fix.
I think that you need to turn off power to the unit and reverse the 240v wires that are on the transformer,I think that the polarity it backwards,I had a similar problom with 2 york units, good luck!
