TOSHIBA Satellite A105-S4004 doesn't boot

unfortunately older models such as the a105 do not have a recovery partition. however recovery cd's are around 25 dollars if you contact toshiba directly

Try connecting an external monitor if this also shows a "bad" picture then probably the graphics chip on the laptop is faulty.

There was a hardware failure / problem on your laptop. If I'm not mistaken it's probably on the Memory Module.

Don't forget that there is a switch that toggles the display from internal to external display (possibly Fn+F5).
