Picture suddenly scrambled with red and blue lines then went out completely. It started making a thumping sound and now thats all it will do when you turn on the power. Any suggestions.

I just had the same problem with my TV and looking on the web I found a site that helped. The site was www.freelists.org/archives/techassist/11-24/msg00326.html The entry said Raster NO GO / Pulsing sound from speakers / Poss ant relay clicks in time to the pulsing. It recommended replacing C816 and C5a28 (100uf /200v Caps) C5a03 (4.7uf / 200v cap) My set did not have the ant relay clicks and I could not fine the C816 cap on the circuit board and I didn't have the schematic. I found the C5a28 and C5a03 caps about the middle of the circuit board in the same circuit (around the metal L shaped bracket). The C5a28 cap was bad and the C5a03 cap was fine. I replaced the C5a28 cap and the set works fine now.

Picture keeps getting all scrambled

sounds like a problem with the main board and or av connector cord. contact vizio and let them know you are seeing some red pixelation. some parts on vizios carry lifetime warranties, it has been my experience that this is a covered issue. hope this helps.

Scrambled picture

Which caps on which boards as that sounds like a issue with the signal and FMT PCB. The v26 chassis like yours has problems with bad caps on the DM, Signal, FMT and the PWB and terminal

JVC AV-48WP30 will not give a picture

Replace the convergence IC`s again using original Sanyo chips (STK 392-110 or STK 392-180). Make sure to use plenty of heat sink compound. Coat the entire back side of the chips. Also look to see if any of the low ohm resistors are burned. A shorted chip will cause the thumping sound and the set will shutdown. I am guessing that you used generic IC`s as a replacement. They are cheap and the leggs fall off when you apply too much heat during soldering. Dont wory about the CRT driver or the deflection board, they are probably fine.
