No power to air conditioner - Panasonic reverse cycle, CU-A34BBP5

I have a Panasonic reverse cycle, CU-A34BBP5 that has no power to the wired wall mounted remote, I have replaced the 6.3amp fuse on the circuit board in the outdoor unit and the remote showed power and worked for 24 hours, it now shows no power but the fuse has not blown. All connections are fine inside the outdoor unit and the remote is plugged in. Where should I start to diagnose the problem?

I have read about several of these units having problems with the "Current Detection Boards". It may be dirty and getting loose. You didn't say if the original fuse was bad. Could it be that you need to seat the card again or perhaps clean the contact points?

Hope this helps,
Rich Long

The original fuse had blown. I was able to get some sound advice over the phone and found that the 3 motors were all drawing correct amps and that the fuses were blowing probably due to a faulty earth. I replaced the fuse again (which had actually blown but wasnt easily noticeable) and cleaned and tightened all earths and found the unit has been running fine for 24 hours. Thanks for your response, I will also check for loose circuit boards, to be sure.

SOURCE: We have a fujitsu reverse

Check if the remote control if still good, using the camera of your cellphone point remote control to the cellphone camera and press the "on" button of your remote and you can see the light emitting from your remote control transmitter. If the lights emits that means your remote control is good, if not means the remote control is defective. If the remote control still good try to press the RST or RESET button on your remote control and try. If wont works it means that the reciever board in the indoor unit is defective.

SOURCE: panasonic air con unit is not blowing cold air out.

This unit is use in motels etc. Check the ouside coil ( conderser) from the inside (discharge fan ) for dirt. Most of these units are floor level . This can cause a unit to short cycle ( cold air is at the floor) .

CS /CU-903KR.. had a series of power blackouts and the air con was on. In the morning turned it off but the exterior box was still running (without us knowing) and both the interior and exterior froze......

Power straight a way to out door unit through jammed /struck contactor . When you start power on,power not going to out door by transmission of indoor thermostat calling.

Replace out door contactor.

F00 fault is a short circuit or grounding out in the low voltage (safety) circuitry. Check in your thermostat (Y1). Hope it's helpful?
